Organic Acids Test: Urine

dls-teaser-img-10-e1604421575204

The Organic Acids Test (OAT) offers a comprehensive metabolic snapshot of a patient’s overall health with 76 markers.  It provides an accurate evaluation of intestinal yeast and bacteria.  Abnormally high levels of these microorganisms can cause or worsen behavior disorders, hyperactivity, movement disorders, fatigue and immune function. Many people with chronic illnesses and neurological disorders often excrete several abnormal organic acids in their urine. The cause of these high levels could include oral antibiotic use, high sugar diets, immune deficiencies, acquired infections, as well as genetic factors.

Cell Science Systems Cellular Micronutrient Assay (CMA) with Antioxidant Protection Assay and REDOX

cell-science-systems-logo-4x3
Test includes 52 micronutrients, 42 antioxidants and anti-inflammatory markers REDOX score.
  • The Cellular Micronutrient Assay (CMA) tests for insufficiencies in micronutrients (vitamins and minerals) as well as amino acids, and other nutrients within immune cells. This is a reflection of long-term nutrient status not just a “snapshot” as is seen in serum nutrient tests.

An overload and accumulation of free radicals (from pollution, toxins, medication, radiation, etc) in our bodies can result in oxidative damage which plays a major role in the development of chronic and degenerative illness. Antioxidants can help protect the cells from oxidative damage.

  • The Redox Assay measures the overall antioxidant function of the individual’s immune cells.
  • The Antioxidant Protection Assay (APA) identifies specific antioxidants that significantly improve the individual’s antioxidant capacity and protect the cells from oxidative damage.

Diagnostics Solutions GI MAP: Stool Sample

Screenshot_2020-08-19websitelabssamplereports1pdf

GI Map measures a substantial list of opportunistic pathogens that may be causing chronic gastrointestinal symptoms, intestinal permeability issues, hormonal imbalances, and food sensitivities. Research has shown that many of these health challenges can be traced to imbalances with gut microbes as a main cause. For instance, the GI Map can be instrumental in helping to identify gastrointestinal pathogens that cause infectious colitis or gastroenteritis. This technology has been used to identify and control pathogen outbreaks because of its rapid turn-around-time.

US Biotek 144 Food Sensitivity Panel: Blood

Foodsens

Food allergies and sensitivities are recognized to be correlated with many plaguing health conditions, but with proper identification and elimination of offending foods, many experience relief from their symptoms. US Biotek’s 144 Food Panel is a comprehensive food sensitivity testing option for patients who may have underlying sensitivities to less conspicuous antigens. Assess IgG, IgG4, or IgA antibody reactivity across a broad range of culturally-diverse foods to help identify trigger foods in these individuals.

Cologuard Colon Cancer Screening: Stool Sample

Cologuard

Cologuard uses advanced stool DNA technology to detect the DNA and blood cells released from altered cells, and can detect both precancer and cancer, if present.

Every day, your colon sheds cells that line the inside of the colon. As part of this process, altered cells will shed into the colon along with normal cells.  When you have a bowel movement, cells are collected by stool as it passes through your colon.

Unlike other noninvasive colorectal cancer screening tests, Cologuard can detect both precancer and cancer. False negatives and false positives can occur with Cologuard. Please visit Cologuardtest.com for more information.

Great Plains MycoTox: Urine

Screenshot_2020-08-19websitelabssamplereports1pdf5

Mycotoxins are metabolites produced by fungi like mold, which can infest buildings, vehicles, and foodstuffs. A majority of mycotoxin exposures are through food ingestion or airborne exposure. This test MycoTOX screens for eleven different mycotoxins, from four species of mold, in one urine sample. It is the most comprehensive and competitively priced mycotoxin test available. Great Plains Lab uses the power of advanced mass spectrometry (MS/MS), which is necessary to detect lower levels of these fungal toxins.

ZRT Neurotransmitters Advanced: Urine

Screenshot_2020-08-19websitelabssamplereports1pdf1

NeuroAdvanced Profile In the neurological system, hormones are synergistic with neurotransmitters – modulating their production, signaling and metabolism. Because of this complex interplay, testing hormones and neurotransmitters together is an ideal way to generate a more precise clinical assessment. Elements are also important for brain health - deficiencies in iodine or selenium compromise the neuroprotective functions of thyroid hormones and lithium is implicated in neuroprotection and regeneration. Heavy metals on the other hand disrupt neurotransmitter synthesis, metabolism, and signaling, contributing to the burden of neurological dysfunction. NeuroAdvanced Profile Includes: GABA, Glu, Gly, DA, Epi, HIST, NE, 5-HT, PEA, DOPAC, HVA, 5-HIAA, NMN, VMA

ZRT Diurnal Cortisol: Saliva

Screenshot_2020-08-19websitelabssamplereports1pdf2

A commonly used tool for assessing adrenal hormones is a diurnal cortisol curve. This curve is derived from taking four daily saliva collections – typically done upon waking, before lunch, before dinner and before bed – and charting them on a 24-hour graph. The resulting curve – also called a four-point cortisol curve or circadian cortisol pattern – reveals cortisol levels throughout the day and allows health care providers to pinpoint issues with adrenal gland function.

Lyme is called “The Great Imitator,” because its symptoms mimic many other diseases. It can affect any organ of the body, including the brain and nervous system, muscles and joints, and the heart. Patients with Lyme disease are frequently misdiagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, and various psychiatric illnesses, including depression. Testing is recommended at the earliest sign of symptoms.Igenex offers a variety of options for Lyme and MSIDS testing.

Vibrant Wellness Tickborne 2.0 Blood spot test

A Box With the Phrase Vibrant Tickbourne Complete

The Vibrant Immunochip is made from recombinant proteins of several species of Borrelia burgdorferi, and not just from B31 used by other western blot tests. Vibrant criteria for detection has higher sensitivity and specificity than the two-tier testing by CDC criteria, as demonstrated by internal studies. This eliminates doubt for clinicians.

The Vibrant Tickborne Diseases panel is the first of its kind to be run on a silicon micro-array platform, providing the highest level of specificity and sensitivity in the industry for detecting tickborne diseases.

Patients often present with a range of non-specific symptoms that may be Lyme, or other conditions that have symptom overlap. Patients with diagnosed Lyme may also experience resurgence of symptoms, which might suggest co-infections. Co-infections are complex and should be included in an initial screen of Lyme and related illnesses.

Vibrant has the most comprehensive antibody (indirect) and DNA (direct) test for detection of Lyme and co-infections that, in most cases, can assist the clinician in assessing these situations and lead to the correct diagnosis.

Testosterone: An important male hormone that is also present in females at lower levels. Testosterone plays roles in reproductive health, mood, skin/hair and bone health.

Progesterone: Produced in the ovaries of women and the testes of men, progesterone plays a role in pregnancy and regulating testosterone in men.

DHEA-s: Found in both men and women, and plays an important role in making the male sex hormone testosterone and the female sex hormone estrogen. Levels that are not in range may indicate problems with adrenal glands or sex organs.

Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG)
SHBG is a protein made by the liver and attaches itself to sex hormones found in both men and women. SHBG controls the delivery of sex hornones to the body's tissues.
